Cardiff Film And Comic Con Sept 17

Posted on

This weekend just gone saw us at Film and Comic Con Cardiff, it was great fun and one of the biggest events we've done so far, celebrities included Colin Baker, Sylvester Mccoy and Joseph Marcell ( Geoffry from The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air ).

The cosplays were excellent and I cosplayed myself as 1950's Harley Quinn.

One of the highlights for me was the spontanious Cosplay Conga which I have a video of over on our Facebook Page.

There were loads of great stalls but the one that stood out for me was Dragonfly Heels, They customise shoes to the fandom of your choice and I will be comissioning a pair of Harley Quinn flats to complete my cosplay at some point (I'd just like to point out Mr SockJems that my birthday is coming up and I'm a size 6 ;) )

I did a little bit of purchasing whilst I was there and managed to get myself a couple of bits I've been after for a while.

First up is this Harley Quin Puddin' choker similar to the one Harley wears in Suicide Squad but in black. I've wanted it in black since I saw the film as it would go with my cosplay much better but was unable to find one untill now.

Next up is this awesome Harley Quinn Varsity Jacket that I've been after since I saw it at Bristol Anime and Gaming Con earlier this year. It compliments my cosplay perfectly and has not really been taken off since I bought it so it's great for everyday wear too. It is lovely and warm and great quality. It's from the amazing Spicetag who have a great range of geeky apparel, cushions and bags ( check out their "Now I have a machine gun, ho-ho-ho" sweat shirt based on the one in Lethal weapon )

Our next event is in two weeks time at Bristol Anime and Gaming Con and I can't wait!
